Towards A Black Hockey Hall Of Fame: Announcing The Creation Of The Society of North American Hockey Historians and Researchers (SONAHHR)

The Society of North American Hockey Historians and Researchers (SONAHHR) was founded on June 1, 2004 by George Fosty, the president and founder of Stryker-Indigo Publishing Company, Inc., and the co-author of Splendid Is The Sun: The 5,000 Year History of Hockey and Black Ice: The Lost History of the Colored Hockey League Of The Maritimes, 1895 to 1925. The purpose of the organization is to foster serious academic study in the areas of field and ice hockey and the preservation of North American and International hockey history.
